Review: L'Oréal Studio Secrets Magic Perfecting Base

Photobucket

Studio Secrets is the first professional makeup line from L'Oréal Paris. Secret No.1 is the magic perfecting base. I really liked this product. A little goes a long way and It makes your skin feel soft and silky. Pores are less noticeable and it controls shine. It gives the face a nice canvas for concealer and foundation. I highly recommend his product!

WOULD I REPURCHASE?: Yes
PRICE: $13.00

PROS:
- Silky

Review: Revlon Photo Ready Foundation

Photobucket

I've heard a lot of good things about this product and decided to purchase it and try it out. This product promises perfected airbrush skin in any light and provides SPF20. I purchased the 008 Golden Beige, which was a bit too dark for me. The formula is thin and lightweight and requires a bit more blending than most foundations. It does not remove redness and it sinks into pores and lines making them more noticeable. It has somewhat of a shimmer that personally doesn't suit me. I felt that the $12.00 spent on this product were a waste and it was too expensive, considering that it is a drug store product and I didn't see the results promised.

OVERALL RATING: 1/5
WHERE TO BUY: Drug Stores
WOULD I REPURCHASE?: No
PRICE: $12.00-$14.00

PROS:
- Has a pump
CONS:

- Expensive
- Sinks into pores and lines
- Looks cakey
- Too shimmery

Review: Benefit Cosmetics Some Kind-a Gorgeous

Photobucket

I got Benefits Some Kind-a Gorgeous in a combination set at Sephora which included this foundation faker, posie tint, high beam, and That Gal Primer. This product promises a glowing complexion and a silky, smooth natural finish. It is a very creamy formula that sets as a powder. It did make my complexion more glowing, in fact a little too much. My T zone looked a lot more oily that usual and felt somewhat dirty while it was on. This product would be good for dry skin types that need very light coverage. This product didn't quite suit me but I would probably want to try a lighter shade that doesn't have the pink undertones (i got Medium-Sheer Natural Beige)

OVERALL RATING: 3/5
WHERE TO BUY: Sephora
WOULD I REPURCHASE?: Maybe
PRICE: $2.50 ($10.00 combination set)

PROS:
- Silky
- Translucent
- Smooth
CONS:
- Feels dirty
- Oily
